Firm History

The law firm began as Foreman Watson in Owensboro, Kentucky, in 1994 when Jeff Foreman and Jim Watson founded a firm with an emphasis on real estate, corporate and transaction law.

In 2008, Foreman Watson expanded into other areas of law — including divorce and family law, as well as criminal defense, estate planning and real estate work — with the addition of associate attorney Tyler H. Johnson, and in 2009, Hollie B. Lindsey. In 2008, the firm opened an office in Hartford, Kentucky, to better serve residents of Ohio County.

In January 2012, Foreman Watson formally announced the addition to the firm of Travis L. Holtrey as managing partner and officially changed the name of the firm to Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP. Holtrey, who has litigated complex personal injury cases throughout Kentucky, brings extensive experience in personal injury law as well as corporate and small-business matters. This addition now allows Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP, to focus on personal injury litigation and handle other complex legal matters.

What began with two attorneys has now grown to 11 attorneys, which allows Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP, to handle a variety of legal issues. Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP, truly exists to change lives in our community one case at a time.
