While many law firms like to list huge case results, they provide very little information to let you know their actual involvement in those cases. For example, they will refer a case out to another law firm that specializes in mass torts or nursing home cases, etc. Then, they will be named as co-counsel and will contribute very little, if any, to the case. When the case settles they will claim the large settlement or verdict as their own. Also, it is important when considering a law firm’s success on large cases, that no two cases are alike. Specific facts determine the actual value of a case. $2.7 million settlement ( Plus $1 million in worker’s compensation benefits) in a trucking case that occurred outside Lexington, Kentucky. This case resolved in federal court after lengthy mediation. The attorney who handled this case was Travis L. Holtrey.

$2 Million (Plus $800,000.00 Worker’s Compensation award) – This case is subject to a strict confidentiality provision. It was an industrial accident wrongful death case which involved a fall from approximately thirty feet in the air. There were five separate defendants named in this case which settled at mediation. This case was handled by Travis Holtrey, Tyler Johnson and Chris Safreed.

$1,925,657.78 settlement in a UTV Side by Side case which occurred when the UTV collided with another vehicle on a rural road in Daviess County, Kentucky. This case resolved pre-suit and was primarily handled by attorney Tyler H. Johnson.

$1.6 million settlement in a motorcycle case that occurred in McLean County, Kentucky. This case resolved after a mediation in Louisville, Kentucky. The attorneys who handled this case were Travis L. Holtrey and Tyler H. Johnson.

$1.3 million settlement in a car wreck case where a passenger was rendered a paraplegic. This case occurred in McLean County, Kentucky. The attorney who handled this case was Travis L. Holtrey.

$1.1 million settlement for defective elevator that took the life of a child. The case occurred in Union County, Kentucky. The attorneys who handled this case were Travis L. Holtrey and Tyler H. Johnson.

$1.0 million settlement in a trucking case that was settled after filing a complaint in Carroll County, Kentucky. During discovery the case settled because of documents that were found that showed that the trucking company was altering its logs. Travis L. Holtrey was the attorney who handled this case.

$1.2 million settlement in a medical malpractice case where there was a negligent laparoscopic cholecystectomy performed. Travis L. Holtrey was the attorney who handled this case.

$850,000 settlement in a medical malpractice case for failure to treat an infection. For confidentiality reasons the location of this case cannot be identified. Travis L. Holtrey handled this case for the firm.

$750,000 settlement in a motor scooter case where a motor scooter operator was struck by a motorist driving through a construction zone. Travis L. Holtrey and Tyler H. Johnson handled this case for the firm.

$750,000 settlement for dental malpractice for three patients who suffered an identical injury by the same dentist. Travis L. Holtrey handled these cases for Foreman Watson Holtrey, LLP.

$740,000 settlement in a vehicle wreck case filed in in Monroe County Circuit Court, Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Case involved complex coverage issues with umbrella policy, errors and omissions issue and non-insured exposure. Case resolved after two mediations. This case was handled by Travis Holtrey and Hollie Lindsey.
